LEARN TO OBEY WHILE YOU STAY
In other words...Board and Train. We will start the process of fixing those unwanted behavior problems we disccussed during your consultation. These programs are so successful because your dog receives consentrated work through out the day while staying with us, therefore speeding up the learning process.
Your initial Enrollment fee includes 5 days of boarding, individualized training with Mike, training equipment and one month worth of Group Obedience Classes. You always have the option to extend your training through our Training Membership program in order to continue your dog's success.
We offer both overnight boarding or daycare training. This is super convenient for those of you who want your dog to learn while you are on vacation or at work.

PRIVATE LESSONS
Private lessons are for owners who do not want to do more of the grunt work. You will participate in 2 private lessons with Mike, then complete one month of Group Obedience Classes to solidify your training. You always have the option to extend your training through our Training Membership program in order to continue your dog's success. This type of training can include an individual or a family with their pet.
BEGINNERS 101
Once your pet has completed our "Learn to Obey While You Stay" program or you have completed your Private Lessons, the next step is Beginners 101!
This is a one month class that lets you practice what your dog has already learned. This class will help new handlers who are still unsure of how to use our training approach and to build on your basic skills. You will build a bond with your pet while building the foundation for future training. This is a great time to ask quesitions about collar use, training techniques and addressing normal dog problems.
TRAINING MEMBERSHIP
This is the next step in your training. Once you have completed a month of Beginners 101 you can choose to continue your training with our Training Membership. With this membership you have access to at least 8 classes per month. You are also able to progress through our different levels of training at your own pace. A Training Membership is just $45.00 per month which is equal to about $5.50/class.* We offer Basic Obedience, Intermediate Obedience and Advanced Obedience.
*Membership dues are required to be paid by credit card through automatic billing. You can stop your membership at any time.
AKC CANINE GOOD CITIZEN
Mike Loesche of Homeland K-9 is an approved evaluator for AKC Canine Good Citizen certification.
"CGC is a certification program that is designed to reward dogs who have good manners at home and in the community. The Canine Good Citizen Program is a two-part program that stresses responsible pet ownership for owners and basic good manners for dogs. All dogs who pass the 10-step CGC test may receive a certificate from the American Kennel Club. Many dog owners choose Canine Good Citizen training as the first step in training their dogs. TEMPERAMENT TESTING
Homeland K-9 will temperament test your puppies so that you can place them with the appropriate owner or for a specific need. This service is ideal for breeders. It is best to do this around the 49th day of the dog's life. Temperament testing is a fairly reliable predictor of the dog's personality, ability to be socialized, and training ability when he/she reaches maturity.
