I was just wondering if any of you know of a reputable Rottweiler breeder? I am looking to purchase a pup.

Thanks!

what are you wanting to do with the dog?  pet, show, gaurdian, lawn ornament?  what ever you decide, make stable nerves your #1 priority.  i would like for you to meet my smokey befor you make this desicion.  of course mike is right with the comment on health.  many people are breeding dogs that get up in the 170 range and there working life is about six years than arthritis or dyspatia renders them immobile.  nobody make fun of my spelling.  if my rott mix had more stable nerves he would still be competing and i would have not gotten another working dog.  working backgrounds seem to be a better choice than the breeder that just has a male and a female and sees $ signs.  check out some rottweiler clubs, see them work, check lineage etc.

glad to see the message board is picking back up.

After Joe's advice and you decide what you want, check with your vet and see if they keep a list of breeders.   Many vets keep lists of breeders based on puppies and dogs they see as patients.      Check with Dayton Kennel Club for a list of breeders or any other clubs or groups.    RESEARCH AND RESEARCH SOME MORE.

After doing the research and much thought and consideration, I believe that we are going to go with another German Shepherd. We love Sammy so much and we just think that it would be best for the group dynamic to stick with the same breed.

Thanks so much for all the great advice!

Check out the forsale page on my website.

The pups will be ready around May 25th. They are working line puppies so it will be important that you do training with them.

Your dogs are beautiful! I am not sure if I am qualified to raise a working GSD. Samson is my first GSD so I am learning as I go with him. I think a more laid back female may be the right fit for our house. I don't know anything about all the competitive training for the GSD. I would love to learn though.
