I got a letter from Springboro Vet that they hired a new groomer to replace Star. Does anyone know anything about her, Tink is about due for a visit.

I don't know anything about her.   I have Star's number if you want to contact her directly.

There is a good place in Miamisburg, that is reasonable for the size of our babies, it is called Robyn's Nest. I took Ella there and they bathed her, did her ears and nails and only charged $60. Everyone else I called wanted 80-100.

I miss Ella. You must bring her to class again!

I have checked out several groomers and although some are reasonablly priced and come recommended they do not have "kennels" for their giant breed dogs, only cages. TInk will not do well in a cage and has never been in one. Crate training was a disaster and I have crate trained other dogs. She just doesn't do well confined.

I spoke to Big Time Kennels in Centerville of Clyo (close to my house and work) and they have a boarding facility and groomer so Tink could stay in the kennel. They also started off their business breeding and showing Old English Sheep Dogs (which is about as close to Tink as you are going to get, since she is a mix). I am waiting for the breeder to call back. No prices yet, I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Did you take Tink to Robyn's Nest for grooming or did you find someone else?  I am also looking for a groomer for Robbie.

When Star left, we tried Robyn's Nest on our German Shepherd.   The dog's skin was flaming red on her belly and itched herself crazy.   We took her back the next day with shampoo from the vet to calm down her skin.  We think they didn't get the shampoo rinsed out good. She was fine in 24 hours. She has heavy coat but not has thick as Tink's.    We have been using Linda at Paws Inn on Kingsridge behind the Dayton Mall with good luck.   Robyn's nest pricing was still about the same, but we won't go back.
