with 170,000 miles, i know the sad day is coming when my 1998 jeep grand cherokee can no longer "do the job".

keep in mind i love this vehicle, but father time is creeping up.

there have been a number vehicle i have been admiring as to what could possibly take its place.

let me pose the question to the forum.

what would you buy?

have to spend your hard earned money.  will also be your daily driver/grocery getter.

should be able to haul dogs and training equipment.

4 seats plus the dogs is a bonus.

i would like to milk my current ride for about a year.   just wat to get the wheels in place so to speak.

what do you like about your current ride?  what would you have done differently?  what is working for you?

I like my car (Dodge Magnum) for its mpg, room for training gear and one dog. On the other hand I hate that only one dog will fit with all of me gear, it smells like a dog at times, the hair that blows around with the windows down.  I dont think this is the perfect dog car.....

I love the mini vans mpg and room but I dont know if I wanna drive a mini van. (haha)

Trailblazer looks good also for a dog car but I am over the hair blowing around and the dog smell.

Joe,

I would like to have one of those new Ford "Transit". It's like a small van. Plenty of room for dogs and family. Plus, Kim thinks their ugly as sin. So thats a plus for me:)

Like my Equinox AWD, great gas mileage.      My best dog/family vehicle is the extended cab truck with topper on the rear.   Its easy to blow the dog hair out of the bed.

I have a Cherokee (210,000 miles and still running strong) and I love it. It's an older model so I do not love the gas milage. I am thinking for my next vehicle... an extended cab 4 wheel drive pick up with a topper.
